We all fall down

Carrie would remember the next few days as some of the best of her life. She was living with a man she was more comfortable with than she could have imagined, working together for a common goal. Even the visit with his kids went well. She gave him most of Saturday with just them, showing up at dinner time with pizza and cookies. They played board games and chased around her little house until it was time for him to take them back. Then it all went to hell.

They finally found evidence that Walker had met someone on one of his random seeming runs around the District. Before they could act on it, a series of small bombs took out three Metro buses as they approached the city center. A half dozen people were killed, twice that were injured. Had it been one bomb, it would have been bad enough, but three in a concert was particularly frightening for the city. It also put CIA on high alert. The work they'd been doing before was nothing compared to the sudden anger and frustration everyone showed. Plenty of people looked at Brody, and Carrie, as though they'd done something wrong. Brody should have come forward sooner. Carrie shouldn't have trusted him so much. Maybe if they'd come up for air this wouldn't have happened.

Carrie though all that and more, although she never really blamed Brody. At least, not any more than she blamed any of them for missing it. They'd messed up, not gotten to the answer fast enough. For her, everything else fell away. The work was everything and she spent as many hours as she was allowed at work. She had to be shoehorned out of the building to go home and rest, but when she was there she didn't sleep. She only ate when someone put food in front of her. This was the Carrie Brody had never seen, that her family worried about, that Carrie held on a tight leash.

She paced her dining platform, looking at the notes and schedules she had posted to her wall, sure she was still missing something crucial. She had music playing, the kind of jazz that normally settled her, but it wasn't doing shit and she could feel her skin start to crawl, but she had to work, had to figure out where they'd gone wrong.

He groaned as he shifted over her, parting her legs and settling into the cradle of her hips. He settled heavy, giving her nothing solid to rub again. "Maybe just red cuffs. And a red blindfold."

She groaned right along with him. That was a surprisingly sexy image. She slowly lifted her arms up over her head, crossing her wrists, and she closed her eyes. "I can do that." She shuddered hard. "Fuck, you feel good."

He slid a hand up her arm to her wrists and held her there. DIpping his head, he started working at her neck and grinding against her.

She wanted to look up at where he held her, but keeping her eyes closed were part of the game. Shifting under him, she realized just how heightened the sensations were when he had even nominal control over the situation. Not unlike when he was being rough with her, she was hyper aware of him. She moaned his name, pleading with him to take whatever he wanted.

He nipped her neck. "You like this? Cause you feel so good. And you have no idea what I'm going to do next."

She shuddered hard as a wave of anticipatory pleasure rushed over her. Her belly was on fire. The odd mix of trusting him completely and having absolutely no idea what he was going to do was making her crazy. He could stay relatively tender or suddenly pin her and use her roughly. She wouldn't object to either one.

That shudder was such a turn on that he was pushing into her without really knowing he was. He keened against her neck as his hand tightened on her wrists. He was still soft, but that could so easily change.

She didn't expect him to be completely ready for her so quickly, not after what she'd done to him, but that didn't stop her from being frustrated by the horrible tease. Knowing he wanted her that badly only heightened the sensations of his breath against her neck and his fingers on her wrists. She twisted under him, whimpering. That made her pull at his hold on her, too, which only made her whimper more loudly.

He chuckled against her skin. "Is my body making you unhappy, babe? Do you want more? Tell me you want more. Beg me."

She let out a low, gasping breath, then did exactly as he asked. How could she do any differently? "Fuck! Need more. Need you." She bucked hard against him. "Need to be full of you, need to get lost in you." She wanted to open her eyes so badly so he could see the need in them. "Know how good you feel when you fill me, when you stretch and overwhelm me."

Had she opened her eyes she would have ended the game. And where was the fun in that. He nipped at her again. "I'm not convinced."

She knew that was a lie. He wanted to hear more, that's all. She shuddered again, harder than she expected. "Not sure how bad I need you when I can't keep my hands off you? When the minute we're alone I start tearing at your clothes?" She licked her lips. "When I'm so wet for you the second you touch me that I'm afraid everyone around us knows?"

Well, yes, that would be what he wanted to hear. He groaned deeply and rocked against her again. He was no longer soft and his next thrust filled her.

She fought against him again, but only because once he was inside her, she wanted her hands on him. She needed to touch him, to give back some of what he gave her. Because she couldn't reach, she started talking again, telling him how good he felt, that it was better than she hoped for.

The talking was what he wanted. He groaned as he started to move, his hand still tight on her wrists. "You are so tight like this. You want to touch me, don't you. You need to."

"Fuck, yes." She closed around him, giving him an even tighter fit. "Want to get my nails on you so you feel how good this is for me. So you carry it with you." That's what the marks were--the red lines she left and the bruises he did.

That argument was compelling enough that he let her hands go. "Do it." He got his arms around her and went back to work on her shoulder. "Make me yourself. Help me remember."

Letting her go probably wasn't a good move on his part because he was going to wear these marks for a nice long time. She immediately raked her nails across his back and up onto his shoulders. Before the pain from that could possibly reach his brain, she did it again. He was hers and now it showed clearly.

It took a moment for the pain to register, then he moaned against her shoulder. "Holy fuck." He was also now rock hard inside her, bordering on exploding. Of course, then he arched right into her nails, offering himself up to her for more.

She swore loudly too, at the way he slammed into her. "Mine." She moved just as hard against him, her body pleading while her mouth just kept challenging him. "Fucking perfect inside me." She clawed at him again. "Mine. Get that? Mine."

It was like a talisman against anything going wrong. He was hers, no one else could touch him.

The tables had turned on him much faster than he expected and now it was as if she'd been holding all the cards all along. And he got it. Completely.

He just couldn't really do anything but moan and slam into her. He'd reached the inarticulate point.

She'd said her piece. The way he moved told her she could just enjoy now, letting the way he filled her push her to the release she'd wanted since he started undressing. He was getting his marks in, too, but no one would ever see them. Not unless he managed to get between her legs again in the next few days. "Love this. Need this."

He nodded his agreement before kissing her hard. He wanted her to come first, but he didn't think he could really hold out much longer. He whimpered roughly, his arms tightening around her as his pace increased. She had to let go first.

And there she was trying to hold out for him, trying to give him time because this was his second round. Then she heard that whimper and she knew exactly what it meant. Groaning thickly, she nodded against his shoulder and moved more strongly, rocking in just the way she needed. It only took her a moment to reach that perfect spot. She had just enough time to warn him by whispering his name, then she was done.

He was beyond relieved when she let go. It meant he didn't have to fight hood body anymore. He followed her only a moment later, groaning as he came.
