Brody attending the meeting Walker had so casually mentioned turned into a three ring circus. More than one person involved was convinced the whole thing was a wild goose chase, including Carrie occasionally. If she hadn't seen Walker as up close and personal as she had when they were first rescued, she could have been convinced. Maybe sending Brody to a regular meeting for returning vets who were also Muslim was just a kind of fuck you from a man who felt he'd been betrayed by a brother soldier. Or it could be something much more sinister. The problem was, no one could really figure out what that sinister was supposed to be. Carrie continued to maintain that Brody had no idea what was going on.

The questions Brody faced right after the meeting ranged from if he knew any of the people there already to how was he planning to overthrow the US government. When the questions headed that way a majority of the time, Carrie called foul and got Brody out of there. With full understanding of the irony involved, they had decided that the cover that would work best with his family was that he was working with other vets on integrating back into the world. Carrie would have felt a lot worse about that if it was just being used to cover up them fucking around. She still felt pretty shitty about it given how much stress it was putting on him.

They took their own cars back to her place. She got there before him and immediately opened a fresh bottle of wine, leaving a full glass on the counter for him, then she went upstairs to change into something decidedly less official looking.

To him, hyper-vigilant was the same as batshit crazy, or suffering from post traumatic stress disorder, like the base shrink said that Brody probably shouldn't be if he wanted his bennies.

"Are you going to pet me, Carrie?" Why yes, he was trying to steer the conversion some, away from where his mind was going.

She was fine with the redirect. They could discuss what was close to an admission on her part later. She shifted some so she could reach up and pet his face, trailing her fingers over his features. He was so familiar to her even though they probably hadn't spent a total of even two months together. She couldn't help smiling because she liked touching him so much.

He leaned into her petting with a grin. "You are going to pet me. Too bad puppies don't purr. I'll just have to wag my tale."

That made her groan. "Not fair. I love that tail." She was sorry she couldn't reach it to pet it, or pinch it, at the moment. She kept caressing him as she kissed him gently. "Love all of you." She meant that to be flirty about his body, but after a moment's pause, she just kissed him again.

Damn you, homonyms!

That was a bold statement, easily as bold as his own had been. Seems it was just a night for revelations. He whimpered in the kiss, his hands going into her hair. This was always the beginning of the end in terms of remaining dressed and he didn't much care.

Her only request for this round was going to be that he end up on top. His ass could get cold this time. The way his fingers felt in her hair made her shiver. It was such an intimate gesture, but it also required trust on her part. He could change the mood so quickly with it, but all she felt was adored. She settled into the kiss, happy to stay there for a while.

He kept his fingers in her hair, since he enjoyed it and she seemed to, as well. He shifted a little under her, getting comfortable. After a few minutes, he broke the kiss to smile up at her. "Maybe I should whine a little, for more attention? Dogs do that, right?"

She ran a finger over his lower lip. "Never had one before, so I'm not sure." She kissed the spot her finger had started on, then planted tiny kisses along the trail of her finger. "Mostly I think they stay close and get petted."

"Think I can manage that." He considered chasing her finger, then decided to just let her kiss him. One hand left her hair and slipped under the hem of her shirt, pressing against her lower back.

Feeling his hand on her skin made her whimper loudly. If they were going to discuss making noises for attention, she was going to be the guilty one. Her kisses turned to light nips as she tried to draw him into touching her more.

He pressed his nails along her spine as he more to kiss her ear. After pulling at her earlobe, he barked softly for her.

Turned on as she was, she couldn't help bursting out laughing. She let her laughter die out into another whimpering noise. "Do I have to get you a chew toy?" If she happened to offer him her neck at that point, it was completely by accident.

He nodded, then gave her neck a nip. "Might want to. Need something to occupy myself." His nails continued moving over the skin of her back. "Something in my mouth."

She bucked hard into him, a jolt of anticipation hitting her right at her core. She could give him something to put in his mouth if he really wanted. The noise she made was a full out whine this time. "Okay. I can do that."

He chuckled roughly against her ear. "Maybe you should tell me what you want, baby. What you need right now."

He had to know exactly what his suggestion had done to her, but she understood his wanting to hear it, to be sure they were on the same page. She pressed against him again. "Need your mouth. Need you between my legs with your tongue..." She shuddered. "Please?"

His laugh got rougher. "My tongue where? Tell me exactly what you want." Of course, he had enough sense to at least get them rolled over and her pressed under him.

Given how often she swore, it probably came as a surprise that Carrie didn't always tend to talking dirty. Despite that, for him, she would be completely clear. She whispered right to him, as though someone could hear them, and told him how she ached for him, exactly where she wanted his tongue and his lips. She even suggested that he use his teeth. Then she pushed at his shoulders, giving him even more direction.

He took it all in stride, letting her whisper to him and push at him, with only a whispered response of hours own. "Yes, ma'am."

As he moved down her body, kidding as he went, he pushed her pants down, then pulled them off before settling between her legs. One hand rested on her belly while he teased her, prepared her, with the other.

Then, with a grin and a wink,, he was on her, his tongue teasing with light circles before he grazed her with his teeth.

The minute she realized he was going to do it, she went a little nuts. She didn't make it easier for him to get her pants off because she was squirming too badly. He had to hold her down with that one hand or she would have sat up so she could watch him. When she finally felt his tongue, she moaned so loudly she scared away birds.

He released her, letting her sit up, after a few moments, when he was sure she wasn't going to pull his hair out. It was nice to have such an appreciative participant and he was happy to oblige and encourage her by adding his fingers more actively to the mix.

"A walk in the woods, he says." She bucked hard against his fingers, wanting them much deeper. "It'll be--oh FUCK--nice, he says." She did run her fingers through his hair, but she was gentle about it. The last thing she wanted him to do was stop. "So damn good."

He laughed against her, then spoke, his voice muffled by her flesh. "This was your idea. Just a dog following you around." Then his fingers were pushed deeper and his tongue heavier against her.

She'd have argued that really she'd chased after him from the start, but all she could do was come up off the blanket with a sharp cry of pleasure. Her hips moved with him, twisting to stay in closest contact with his tongue. She was already planning her revenge, which only excited her more. "So good. Love this."

Given her response, he saw no reason to change anything. Besides, he was having fun. Even if he couldn't see the stars, which was, on the face, the reason they'd gone out there.

He answered her statement with firmer movement of his fingers and his tongue. He also gave her the teeth she wanted.
