Brody attending the meeting Walker had so casually mentioned turned into a three ring circus. More than one person involved was convinced the whole thing was a wild goose chase, including Carrie occasionally. If she hadn't seen Walker as up close and personal as she had when they were first rescued, she could have been convinced. Maybe sending Brody to a regular meeting for returning vets who were also Muslim was just a kind of fuck you from a man who felt he'd been betrayed by a brother soldier. Or it could be something much more sinister. The problem was, no one could really figure out what that sinister was supposed to be. Carrie continued to maintain that Brody had no idea what was going on.

The questions Brody faced right after the meeting ranged from if he knew any of the people there already to how was he planning to overthrow the US government. When the questions headed that way a majority of the time, Carrie called foul and got Brody out of there. With full understanding of the irony involved, they had decided that the cover that would work best with his family was that he was working with other vets on integrating back into the world. Carrie would have felt a lot worse about that if it was just being used to cover up them fucking around. She still felt pretty shitty about it given how much stress it was putting on him.

They took their own cars back to her place. She got there before him and immediately opened a fresh bottle of wine, leaving a full glass on the counter for him, then she went upstairs to change into something decidedly less official looking.

His growl deepened. "Must be." The hand closest to her ass gave her a firm squeeze. "Step outside with me?"

She pulled back to look at him, surprised by his request. Not that she was against it by any measure. "Outside? Into the darkness. Where anything might happen?" She pretended to think about it. "Yes."

He smirked. "Good." As they left, he spoke with the waitress, so no one would clear the table. They were going out to smoke.

No one who saw them on the dance floor thought for a minute that cigarettes were what was on their mind. She held his hand like a teenager as they walked out. They'd both noticed the likely dark spots on their way in, trained to the point of second nature. She hinted that they head for the one further from the kitchen not just for the lack of traffic, but for the lack of smells.

The instant they were in the spot she picked, he was on her. The car would have worked, too, but he was too busy kissing and groping her to suggest it.

She managed to get herself against the wall so his bulk would help hide what they were doing, not that it was going to be the least bit subtle. She cursed not having brought a skirt. Lesson learned--any place, any time. The thought made her chuckle and her hand tightened on his ass. "Some day I'm getting us a huge hotel room. With a kind sized bed. Pillow top."

"A bed we will never use." And with that he pushed his hand down her pants and started teasing

"We would. Eventually." She had to take a sharp breath in the middle, when his fingers touched her heat. The man never fought fair where her body was concerned. Rather than trying to get him undressed right away, she leaned back and let him play while she moaned for him. "After the desk and the tub."

"And the dresser. And the door." He pushed his fingers inside her as his lips went to her neck.

"Fuck!" She started rocking against him immediately, groaning thickly. "Window sill?" It would probably overlook something marvelous that they wouldn't pay any attention to. "Love your hands. So strong."

He nipped her neck hard. "I need to fuck you now." He pressed against her leg so she could feel exactly how serious he was.

"Oh, well, if you need to." She immediately reached between them to get his pants open. If they were in a more secluded spot, she would have taken the time to caress him, but she could tell they didn't need that now. She got him as exposed as she dared, then twisted in his arms so she faced the wall. Besides the simpler logistics, she wanted him behind her, towering over her.

He groaned when she turned around, then pressed against her. He made her wait a moment before he took her with a growl. One hand went to her hip while the other cupped her chin and turned her head back so he could kiss her.

One hand braced her against the wall, the other caressed his cheek as they kissed. She was grateful for the kiss as it gave her a way not to cry out at the pleasure. Because of the height difference it was a little tough for him to get terribly deep and keep his balance, but that didn't mean he didn't feel amazing.

The angles were a little odd, however she felt so good and she was so ready for him that he didn't care. All that mattered was being against her and inside her. And the illicit nature of it.

Finally she had to break out of the kiss. Putting both hands on the wall, she rested her head against them and arched her hips to give him more access. She could hear a car pulling into the lot and even though she knew they couldn't be seen, she shivered in anticipation of someone coming close to them.

They couldn't be seen, but they could be heard.

His other hand went to the wall next to her. He rocked against her, driving deep inside her with each thrust. He grunted softly, right against her ear, sharing everything he could with her, even as his movements sped.

As her climax approached, she shifted her hand under his, fingers tangling with his. The urge to connect, to close circuits, was so strong she did it without thinking. The only warning she could give him was whispering his name in sudden surprise as the pleasure overtook her.

He was right with her and growled louder as he came. The hand on her hip clenched, holding her still as he finished.

The giggles came when she felt him relax after his release. She drew he hand down so she could press it against her lips to try and keep the laughter quiet enough that they weren't heard. She felt giddy.

He leaned against her and shook his head. "God, babe. You are something else. I think I need a drink. And a dance."

She snorted. "Me? That wasn't me." She kissed the back of his hand. "A drink. A chair. Then a dance." She whimpered. "If I can walk." Her knees were pleasingly weak.

He finally moved off of her enough for them both to get pulled back together. Then he offered her his arm. "Sounds good, Carrie."

She'd been able to smell herself on his hand when she kissed it and that left her shivering while she redressed. Taking his arm didn't get her everything she wanted, so she also reached up and drew him into a deep kiss. "It's perfect."

He drew her into another kiss, lingering there for a long few moments. "Perfect." Then he steered her back toward the bar and their now certainly warm beer.
