Briefings with Saul were getting more and more tense. Carrie could feel the strain on all of them as a real, palpable thing. Beside her, no one had ever had much faith in Brody, which was largely her fault. How could she explain her change of heart without explaining it was exactly that. What was harder was not telling him about how bad it was. Every time she was vague it was a physical pain.

The final straw was a heated conversation about what they would do if he were found out, revealed to be on a mission. They had escape plans, but it was clear very few people in that room gave a damn if they worked. Or if they even existed. She'd been through hell for the man they were dismissing like so much dross and all because... She wasn't that sure why because at this point. It was about Saul, really, and she knew that. That's why when he made a passing comment that made it sound damn like he'd made his decision and Brody didn't figure into it at all, she felt her stomach lurch so badly she almost had to leave the room.

She didn't go to him that night, that would be stupid. She waited a day, all of which was spent wondering when she would throw up. She got there late, just before dark, and sat back to watch the men finish up before meal break. He looked good. Better than when she saw him last, even.

Such an obliging lover. She moaned happily and brought a leg up to wrap around him. "Hmmm, yes, please. Like that." She shuddered as she started rocking hard against him. "Love your hands on me. Love how you'll touch me anywhere, everywhere." She didn't want to restrict his creativity, she just wanted his hands.

He had to shift a little to free a hand, then he ran it down her side and back up, pinching and rubbing as he hit interesting bits of flesh. He shifted to whisper against her ear. "Love touching you. Love knowing how it feels for you."

She was practically twitching in his arms, making happy noises. "Feels amazing. Exciting and safe all at once. Fuck, can't believe how much I want you sometimes." She laughed softly. Every time she looked at him, really. "Very distracting."

"Just sometimes? Going to have to try harder, I guess." He got his hand on her breast and pinch the side before starting to rub with just his fingertips. His hips rolled against hers as they moved, grinding his pelvis against hers.

None of that was even remotely fair and he had to know it. "Baby, you have to let my brain function sometimes." She bucked into him. "Please?" She sounded so hopeful she had to laugh at herself. She was so screwed.

"Please, what, baby? Let your brain function? I try." He pinched her again, then pulled back to look down at her. "These are my favorite moments."

She blinked at him, not at all sure what he meant since her brain was shutting things down. Not that being in the middle of the act and feeling this close to her wasn't way up on her list, too. "Oh?" She groaned. "How so?" There, make him talk.

He chuckled roughly as he continued to move. "Oh no you don't. You're talking. I'm doing. No changing the game."

"Not fair!" She arched toward him. If he was going to do, he should well and truly do. "Fine. Then I want your hand on my breast, hard. Want to feel your fingers when we're done." She groaned. "Want to feel you when I'm falling asleep."

He shifted again and closed his hand on her breast. Then he started to squeeze. He kept moving, kept driving into her with an urgency. He needed her to keep talking. He needed to tell him what she wanted done to him. He needed her, plain and simple.

She got her hands on him, scratching as lightly as she could manage, which wasn't very. Her hips moved hard against him, twisting to get him even deeper. She couldn't help moaning. "Need to feel you all the time. Against me, near me." She whimpered. "Inside me. Love this so much. Love you."

She shuddered as she said it. Taking a deep breath, she said it again more firmly. "Love you so much."

They were probably screwed, if she felt so strongly about having him close. He squeezed her breast harder as he shifted to drive into her at a different angle. She felt amazing. He needed her so very badly.

She'd revise that statement later, after they'd had some release. But it sounded irrationally good at the moment. Arching toward him, wanting him deeper than was truly possible. If all this accomplished was a few minutes of peace, then it was energy well, very well, spent. She grabbed at his head, pulling him in so she could have a deep kiss. She was going to explode soon.

He moaned into her mouth, his pace increasing. He switched breasts to make sure she really felt him later. It was that rough need that made everything feel more real. It bought clarity, something they really both needed.

She was feeling particularly clear at the moment. It almost hurt just how clear she felt. Transparent. Something inside her cracked and she slammed into him, wanting it to shatter. "Fuck. Please. So close." Even in the middle of all that, she flushed at the need in her voice.

His nails dug in as he moved, trying to give her what she wanted. Their baby was going to be so angry when it was born, for the pounding it was getting. He moaned her name against her lips, then nipped her to drive the point home.

The moan was unfair, much the same as the way she dragged her nails over his skin. She started pleading with him, softly and desperately. She was so close it wasn't going to take much for her to fall. Not much at all and she told him so.

What his body was doing was not enough to push her over the edge. So he added his voice to the mix. "Need you to come for me, baby. Need to feel that from you."

And that was, in fact, all it took, him taking his turn. She nearly whimpered as pleasure raced through her, taking her breath away and making her vision go dim for a moment. She finally scratched him, drawing her nails hard against his skin.

He whimpered her name in response to the scratches, slamming into her with a shudder. His release came a moment later, his body jerking hard. She was going to be the death of him, she had her way. She'd fuck him to death.

She collapsed under him, whimpering happily. No way she could kill him. That would mean less unreal sex. And she'd decided she wanted that for a very long time. Quite possibly a lifetime. She petted his head weakly, smiling slightly. "Yes."

He started laughing roughly. "I see, then." He nipped her shoulder, then carefully climbed off her to settled at her side. "I'm going to pass out now. Hope that's okay, baby."

She made a slight dismissing gesture at him, then sagged under him. "Sleep? I think I know this sleep you speak of." She shifted slightly, getting comfortable, and closed her eyes. "I'm with ya. Passing out now."

And that's exactly what she did. She lasted long enough to kiss his shoulder a couple times, then drifted off.

He was only awake long enough to make sure she fell asleep. Then he was out, too, snoring softly and snuggling in close to her.

She slept well with him, comfortable being held even when he started snoring. She did elbow him once, but not hard, then she fell back into a deep sleep. At least until her bladder woke her. Deeply annoyed, she worked her way out from under his arm and took care of business, grumbling the whole way.

Rather than get back into bed, she settled at the room's little desk and worked on lists of things they had to do. That included a list of furniture to buy which left her slightly overwhelmed.
