Briefings with Saul were getting more and more tense. Carrie could feel the strain on all of them as a real, palpable thing. Beside her, no one had ever had much faith in Brody, which was largely her fault. How could she explain her change of heart without explaining it was exactly that. What was harder was not telling him about how bad it was. Every time she was vague it was a physical pain.

The final straw was a heated conversation about what they would do if he were found out, revealed to be on a mission. They had escape plans, but it was clear very few people in that room gave a damn if they worked. Or if they even existed. She'd been through hell for the man they were dismissing like so much dross and all because... She wasn't that sure why because at this point. It was about Saul, really, and she knew that. That's why when he made a passing comment that made it sound damn like he'd made his decision and Brody didn't figure into it at all, she felt her stomach lurch so badly she almost had to leave the room.

She didn't go to him that night, that would be stupid. She waited a day, all of which was spent wondering when she would throw up. She got there late, just before dark, and sat back to watch the men finish up before meal break. He looked good. Better than when she saw him last, even.

His smile broadened. "You liked it." He continued to nuzzle her as he pictured it. It was probably easier for him to see it, since he'd already been father to infants twice. Still, this child would be different from Dana or Chris.

This child would be a Reynolds, whatever that meant.

That was another weird thing to think about, given how close she was to her dad. There would be tears when that sank in fully. Still, it was good to hear him happy about their future. "It wasn't awful. It was...comfortable. Familiar." She swallowed hard. "Felt right."

He got his fingers into her hair and turned her head so she had to look at him. "This is the only thing that has felt right in a long time, Carrie. You are the only thing that has felt right, despite everything that has happened along the way."

Smirking, he brushed his lips over hers. "Looks like I am finally getting my cabin boy position."

She couldn't help it, she burst out laughing. It felt good to laugh like that. She grabbed his head and pulled him into a deep kiss, the laugh never really dying out until she pulled away again. "You got the wrong hat, baby." She looked up at him, picturing him in a little sailor's cap, and burst out laughing again. Hiding her face against his shoulder, she just enjoyed it.

He just grinned and kissed her again. "The hat doesn't matter."

She snorted softly. "It matters. I like that hat." She nuzzled at his jaw, smiling softly. "You will wear it for me. That and nothing else." She nipped where she'd been nuzzling. "I promise to say ride 'em, cowboy." She would, too, just because.

"Should I get some boots, too?" This was, in fact, a serious question. If he needed to buy boots, he would.

She groaned loudly at the idea, all to easily picturing it. She nodded slowly. "Absolutely. And then I'll get the lasso and..." She shuddered hard, all to easily picturing one of them, probably her, tied up and wriggling. She muttered again, "Ride 'em, cowboy. Fuck."

He felt that shudder and groaned. "Keep talking like that and I'm going to have to fuck you."

She pulled back and stared at him like he was crazy, then licked her lips and spoke softly. "Climb on top of you. Run my hands all over your chest..."

He shook his head, then pressed closer. His hands went to her shoulders and he pressed her back, his lips going to her throat. "Keep talking, baby..."

She groaned again. They'd never really done this. "Talk about how good it feels when you first push into me? How I'll go slow so I can really enjoy it?" She bucked against him, surprising herself. "How I'll ride you? Slow at first, then faster until you'll have to hold onto me?"

He moaned against her neck, shifting against her body to pin her under him. "Yes. Talk about those things."

She hid her smile against his shoulder, turning her head only slightly to speak. "About how tight and wet I'll be? About how good it'll feel when you start moving, going deep in me?" She bucked against him, giving him another clear signal that she wanted him. "Gonna hold you so tight."

He worked his way between her legs, then pressed in slowly. "Tell me how it feels right now." His eyes fluttered as he settled deep, waiting to move until she told him what he wanted to hear.

"Oh fuck...fuck." After a moment she caught her breath and laughed. "I'm sure you will." She rocked slightly against him. "You'd never deny me that, not with how good it feels." She groaned. "How full. So hot. Fuck, baby, please..."

He started to rock, pressing deep inside her with each thrust. His lips stayed at her neck, encouraging her to talk more as he did what she described.

Such an obliging lover. She moaned happily and brought a leg up to wrap around him. "Hmmm, yes, please. Like that." She shuddered as she started rocking hard against him. "Love your hands on me. Love how you'll touch me anywhere, everywhere." She didn't want to restrict his creativity, she just wanted his hands.

He had to shift a little to free a hand, then he ran it down her side and back up, pinching and rubbing as he hit interesting bits of flesh. He shifted to whisper against her ear. "Love touching you. Love knowing how it feels for you."

She was practically twitching in his arms, making happy noises. "Feels amazing. Exciting and safe all at once. Fuck, can't believe how much I want you sometimes." She laughed softly. Every time she looked at him, really. "Very distracting."

"Just sometimes? Going to have to try harder, I guess." He got his hand on her breast and pinch the side before starting to rub with just his fingertips. His hips rolled against hers as they moved, grinding his pelvis against hers.

None of that was even remotely fair and he had to know it. "Baby, you have to let my brain function sometimes." She bucked into him. "Please?" She sounded so hopeful she had to laugh at herself. She was so screwed.

"Please, what, baby? Let your brain function? I try." He pinched her again, then pulled back to look down at her. "These are my favorite moments."

She blinked at him, not at all sure what he meant since her brain was shutting things down. Not that being in the middle of the act and feeling this close to her wasn't way up on her list, too. "Oh?" She groaned. "How so?" There, make him talk.

He chuckled roughly as he continued to move. "Oh no you don't. You're talking. I'm doing. No changing the game."
