Briefings with Saul were getting more and more tense. Carrie could feel the strain on all of them as a real, palpable thing. Beside her, no one had ever had much faith in Brody, which was largely her fault. How could she explain her change of heart without explaining it was exactly that. What was harder was not telling him about how bad it was. Every time she was vague it was a physical pain.

The final straw was a heated conversation about what they would do if he were found out, revealed to be on a mission. They had escape plans, but it was clear very few people in that room gave a damn if they worked. Or if they even existed. She'd been through hell for the man they were dismissing like so much dross and all because... She wasn't that sure why because at this point. It was about Saul, really, and she knew that. That's why when he made a passing comment that made it sound damn like he'd made his decision and Brody didn't figure into it at all, she felt her stomach lurch so badly she almost had to leave the room.

She didn't go to him that night, that would be stupid. She waited a day, all of which was spent wondering when she would throw up. She got there late, just before dark, and sat back to watch the men finish up before meal break. He looked good. Better than when she saw him last, even.

That earned her a low groan and a roll of his hips. "Precisely what I was thinking." He pressed his lips against her neck, just lightly scraping teeth against skin.

She moved her hand lower, worming it between them until she could wrap her fingers around him. "It's nice when we're on the same page." She grinned at him. "We'll...plan things. Talk."

"Plan things. Right." He bucked into her hand as he nipped her neck. It only took a little more shifting before he head her mostly under him, his weight on her with enough room for her to keep right on doing what she was doing.

She paused only long enough for him to get settled, then she went right back to molesting him. Not that it was a serious grope, just intentional caresses. No reason not to take time feeling him grow in her hands or maybe getting little noises from him. "Planning is important." Not that they'd ever been big on thinking first. "Might forget something you really wanted to do."

He whimpered softly as she touched him, rocking against her hand. His lips moved over her neck and shoulder, enjoying the way she tasted first thing in the morning. He started to whisper the things he planned to do to her, starting very vague to make her crazy.

He was reaching his goal. Of course, he was also spurring her to take stronger action. Her fingers wrapped around him and she stroked him with more purpose. Occasionally her hand tightened when he said something particularly enticing. She hoped he was paying attention to that.

Turning slightly, she gave him more neck to work on. "Yes. That." Not that she was sure just which part she meant by that point.

He remembered every squeeze, hoping that he could remember what he'd said to prompt it. And her vague response made him chuckle against her skin. They were really rather hopeless.

They weren't hopeless, at least not for this. They were in love. It just looked the same. She caressed his hair for a moment, then guided his head so she could kiss his lips. Her moan surprised her, but she didn't let it stop her. She also wasn't completely aware of tightening her grip again.

Feeling her hand on the light growth of hair on his head made him whimper against her lips. The feel of her fingers tightening around him turned his whimper to a moan.

She laughed softly at his moan, then pulled back to look at him. There was enough hair to be worth touching, but not enough to really run her fingers through. They would probably have to do something about the color soon, which made her sad, but she was looking forward to being able to grab him that way. "I'm...happy."

His smile broadened. "So am I." And to prove that to her, he caught her up in another, deep and long kiss.

Her laugh was almost giddy. She shifted to be harder against his body as they kissed, even though it meant she couldn't move hr hand as well. She'd get back to that. Nipping at him, she pulled back slowly from the kiss. "We'll get the house." Then she went back to kissing him.

He growled at the nipping even as he nodded. ""We will." He rolled his hips against her hand, reminding her of what she wasn't getting at the moment.

She laughed again, but didn't make any move to change what they were doing. Teasing him was doing wonders for her mood. She nipped him again, a little harder, then kept her hand tight on him for a while, moving more slowly. "And a huge bed."

His eyes fluttered and he momentarily forgot what they were talking about in favor of enjoying the feel of her hand working at him. He gave a full body shiver, then moved to kiss her again. "A very huge bed," he whispered against her lips, his ability to actually speak English fleeing the immediate area.

She managed not to laugh at him, mostly because it would betray her own need. She shifted so she could caress his belly with her other hand, smiling sweetly. "And big lounge chairs on the back patio." She was thinking of the one off the bedroom. Where they might curl up at night. "I've been thinking about that."

He groaned at the additional sensation from her other hand. "What have you been thinking?"

She was impressed he could follow her that well. She must not be abusing him enough. To make up for that, she shifted a little so she could kiss his chest. "Sitting out back. At night. Maybe naked." The back was private enough.

The whole house was fairly private, so he couldn't see a problem with that. He shifted his weight over her and groaned again before finally giving up and rolling onto his back. if she was going to torture him this way, she might as well have room to work.

She managed, barely, not to rub her hands together in glee when he made himself available to her like that. Shifting quickly, she got herself up on his thighs so she could reach all of him. Then she ran her hands over his belly. Using her nails, she downright purred at the feel of him. "We are getting entirely too good at this."

He chuckled roughly under her. "You say that like it's a bad thing, baby." In his book, it was the exact opposite. It was a very good thing. A thing to be encouraged.

She shook her head. "Bad? No. Just...you're going to have to work out more. To keep up." She pinched him just under his nipple. He was in outstanding shape, he really had nothing to worry about now. "I'm told that my sex drive should only increase over the next few months, now that I'm feeling better." It was true, or so the books said. He'd know better than her.

His response, after a low groan, was to grin knowingly. "I've heard that rumor, too."

She pinched him again, this time right on the nipple. Abusing him made her belly tighten in a lovely way. "Then it must be true. More protein in your diet. More rest." Not that they were likely to get much rest with a house to set up and jobs to find. But she wasn't thinking about that now. She was thinking about abusing him, which made her smile sweetly.

He could tell what she was thinking and he groaned roughly before bucking under her. "You know you'd have to leave me alone to let me rest, right?"
