Rescued?

When the posters went up showing the two members of the Marine sniper team who'd gone missing, Carrie Mathison stood and stared at them. She didn't see two Marines in their uniforms, though, she saw only one of them half dressed on a rooftop looking up at the blanket of stars. She saw a sweet smile from a man who was too far from home and was trying to hold onto his humanity. Every time she passed the posters, even if she didn't turn to look, she was as aware of them as if someone had reached out and grabbed her. Months went by and the sensation never weakened.

Then came word that they'd been found, that two Marines had been found in neighboring camps. Both men were in rough shape: dehydrated, beaten and demoralized. One was worse than the other, but first reports didn't make it clear which it was and Carrie held her breath until she knew that Brody was in better physical shape. Not that she asked or spoke to anyone about knowing him. The moment she said a word, they'd pull her out of it all and that wasn't happening.

The men were kept apart while they were cleaned up. Carrie read both files, but it was Brody's she kept going over and over in her head. She knew every detail of what they'd found out so far. On the outside it probably seemed cruel to interrogate the men so soon, but the sooner they got it done, the better. These men were headed home, at least for a while, and it would be harder to get solid information from them when they were there.

It wasn't until minutes before she walked into the room that Carrie knew for sure which man she was going to debrief. She was ready to bounce out of her skin by the time she walked in, a feeling that vanished immediately when she saw him. "Sergeant Brody? I'm Carrie Mathison. I'm here to ask you some questions."

She kept shifting in his lap, starting to make a serious of needy whimpers, as if she were seeking something. Which was exactly what she was doing. She needed him inside her or she was going to start clawing at him. Her body was more than ready for him. She'd been ready around the time she climbed in his lap.

"Gonna have to keep food here. Keep your strength up." Because she had every intention of wearing him into the ground.

He finally held her still and gave her what she was after. Groaning, he nipped at her bottom lip. "We keeping my strength up for you or for me?"

With his hands on her hips, he started to move under her. "God, you feel good." He watched her through half-closed eyes, taking in every look that crossed her face.

Including the one when the doorbell sounded.

"Me." She twisted in his grasp to drive him deeper, shuddering with pleasure. "Absolutely for me. No question." She was shameless at the best of times, but with him it was ridiculous. She nodded quickly, agreeing with him on how amazing it felt.

Her eyes fluttered back when he moved, her mouth going slack as her breath turned into panting. Her hands tightened on his shoulders to keep her from having to miss a single thrust. Right up until the doorbell rang she was the picture of ecstatic abandon.

Then it was like a wall came down. She looked at the door for a long moment, then at him. Through that wall of annoyance and fear, she did let him see a flash of sorrow. She didn't want to be interrupted because she wanted to be with him. She touched his face and leaned in to kiss him before swearing harshly. As distracted as she was, she had a hard time slowing her hips. Her body wanted to keep going because all it knew was him.

He was about to insist that she ignore the door and stay with him, when the doorbell sounded again, followed by some urgent knocking.

Brody groaned, his head going to her shoulder as he stilled her. "Sounds important." He sounded as annoyed as she looked. "I should not be here when you answer that."

She groaned. "Except your pants are upstairs and you can't exactly sneak out the back." She half gestured to her totally enclosed patio. Not to mention she was wearing his shirt. She kissed his throat as she peeled herself off him. "Hey, at least it's not my dad. He doesn't knock, remember." She groaned thickly and tugged her borrowed shirt down to cover her. "If you want, there's a sweatshirt on my dresser." The oversized Princeton shirt was soft with age and was the only thing big enough to fit him.

She shook her head at another loud knock. After shouting that she was coming, she looked back at him. "I'm sorry."

Brody groaned at the lose of her heat, then grabbed the towel and headed upstairs. He was not, at all, happy about the interruption, but it was the price he had to be willing to pay if he wanted to be involved with her.

And if he were honest with himself, that is exactly what they were talking about. Being involved. Turning to each other instead of other people. It was, to a sane person, a very very bad idea.

Brody flopped down on the bed, on his stomach, and wrapped his arms around the pillow under his head. After a deep breath, he settled himself to waiting.

Carrie waited until she heard him stop moving around upstairs before she opened the door and she only opened it widely enough to see how was outside. It was Saul, of course, looking agitated. She was almost amused that she could do that to him before she even said hello.

Unless the world was ending, she was going to keep this quick. "Sorry, had to hide a man in my closet before I answered. What's up?"

Saul was not happy with how long it took Carrie to open the door. He was less happy with her comment. And even less so with her state of dress. "Get dressed. We need you right now."

She raised an eyebrow at him, still calm and outwardly unconcerned. Inwardly she was already keyed up from the interrupted sex and Saul calling her to work didn't help. "Why? What happened?" She glanced at the stairs. Everything they had on the table started with intel that Brody had helped them get.

Saul followed her glance, wondering if the man in the closet story was true. Then he shook his head and looked at her again. "It's Walker. Something's going on. I need your eyes and your insight."

He was about to find out because if he wanted eyes on Walker, they had the perfect resource upstairs in her bedroom. Brody wouldn't like it, but the safer a world they created, the safer he would feel in it, hopefully. She glanced up the stairs again.

She swung the door open to let him pass. "Come in, there's pizza. I need about ten minutes." Hopefully she could talk her lover into at least considering helping.

Saul nodded as he entered. "Make it five." He was familiar enough with her place that he found the food and the open wine bottle easily enough. A quick glance in the living room gave up that there was someone else there.

Carried had every intention of taking ten, or more, if there was value to it. She was used to doing what she needed against orders. Hell, everything to do with Nick Brody qualified as that. She went up to the bedroom and plopped down on the bed next to Brody. "My boss says he needs me."

Brody rolled to look at her when she sat down. When she spoke, he sighed softly and nodded. "Guess that's the price ya pay to play." He did not look at all happy about it. He was not even close to ready to go home.

She spent a moment caressing his hair, no more ready than him to end their time together. "It's what I do." She leaned in and kissed him gently before giving him the real bad news. "It's Walker. Saul wants my perspective because I already worked with him so much." She sat back. "But you know him better I do."

The kiss almost made the news bearable. Almost. He scowled softly. "I'm not sure that's a good idea."

He wasn't wrong and it showed in her expression. "Neither am I, but it would solve a few problems for us at the same time. And you really could help." She leaned in to kiss him again. "What happened between us over there can be between us. All we have to talk about is what's going on now."

The odds that anyone would believe it were small, but she convinced herself that it would work.

He wasn't so sure that it would work, either, but he was willing to let her have that illusion. "So, just gonna tell your boss I happened to be over here, all on my own?"

She shrugged. "We ran into each other, got to talking, I tore your clothes off you... It's true." And it was, if you ignored that they'd been lovers before that. Carrie made impulsive choices all the time. "Saul's okay. I trust him."

"Seems thin. But okay." He was easy, when it came to her. Maybe a little too easy. "I'm going to need my shirt back."

From downstairs drifted Saul's voice. "Carrie... Let's go!"

She glanced down. "But it fits me so well." Grinning at her victory, she stripped off the shirt and tossed it at him before heading for her closet. At the same time, she called back down to Saul. "Yeah, yeah, coming. Hold your horses."

"This is a bad idea." Of course, he was still getting dressed. So he was still in. After he was dressed he went up behind her and kissed her shoulder. "I should probably not go downstairs without you, should I."

She turned half toward him so she could kiss him back. "It would make for an interesting conversation. Might be worth it for you to get to see Saul sputter." She shimmied into a pair of jeans, half jumping to get them up over her still sweat dampened hips. "And it's a horrible idea because I don't want to share you, but maybe this will end up giving us more freedom."

She riffled through her shirts with one hand as she fished out a bra with the other. Once she had both items on and shoes on her feet, she looked up at him with a bright smile. "Show time?"

Fully dressed himself, he nodded. "Let's do this." He let her go down first and tried to get his best smile painted on. He had a little practice, so he might have even been convincing.

Saul was... surprised was a good word. And he did sputter a little before looking at Carrie with a raised eyebrow.

Carrie shrugged, grinning slightly. "Found him in my closet, thought I'd feed him and try on his clothes." And fuck his brains out, but that didn't need to be stated out loud. It made Saul twitch when she said things like that. "I thought he might have something to contribute."
