She met his eyes squarely and nodded. She could see all the caveats pretty clearly in his expression. That and the way his arms tightened every so slightly around her. It was a delicious hint of his physical power, something she'd always liked.
It wouldn't do either of them any good if he hurt her. They needed to be able to trust each other completely. That didn't mean they had to be gentle, just to trust.
