He didn't need to wait for her. If she couldn't keep up, she'd find a way after. Mostly she needed to feel him let go. She needed to know that he was satisfied. She wasn't used to that, being so in tune with what her partner needed and it scared her a little. Of course, that only ampped up her need. She really was nuts.
