This is spying. Isn't it FUN?
Brody attending the meeting Walker had so casually mentioned turned into a three ring circus. More than one person involved was convinced the whole thing was a wild goose chase, including Carrie occasionally. If she hadn't seen Walker as up close and personal as she had when they were first rescued, she could have been convinced. Maybe sending Brody to a regular meeting for returning vets who were also Muslim was just a kind of fuck you from a man who felt he'd been betrayed by a brother soldier. Or it could be something much more sinister. The problem was, no one could really figure out what that sinister was supposed to be. Carrie continued to maintain that Brody had no idea what was going on.
The questions Brody faced right after the meeting ranged from if he knew any of the people there already to how was he planning to overthrow the US government. When the questions headed that way a majority of the time, Carrie called foul and got Brody out of there. With full understanding of the irony involved, they had decided that the cover that would work best with his family was that he was working with other vets on integrating back into the world. Carrie would have felt a lot worse about that if it was just being used to cover up them fucking around. She still felt pretty shitty about it given how much stress it was putting on him.
They took their own cars back to her place. She got there before him and immediately opened a fresh bottle of wine, leaving a full glass on the counter for him, then she went upstairs to change into something decidedly less official looking.

"I want you to know, sometimes, English is a bitch."

The supplies went in a spot by the hearth while she helped him build. "It's uncouth and barbaric."

He helped relocate their provisions, then got settled and held his have out for her.

(It is hard to express to you exactly how much you mean to me, in any language. You have helped me start to find myself again. You are home, love.

(*I would split open my heart
with a knife, place you
within and seal my would,
that you might dwell there)

(I love touching you. You feel amazing. There is nothing more I want to do right now then to memorize every line of her body.)

(There's nothing I want more. Held onto my memories of you when you were gone like a treasure.)

(I thought of you often while I was away. How kind you were to me, how nice it was to have someone who was kind to me because they wanted to be. )

His touch brought soft moans and the littlest shivers when his fingers skirted her breasts. This was the kind of thing she'd hoped for if he came back, the chance to find peace in him.
(I watched your photo, thinking you might step right out of it, just because I wanted you to so much.
I refused to believe we wouldn't get you back.)

(Am I everything you'd hoped for, beloved? Do I make you happy?
Despite my outburst, my anger, you make me happy. Because I trust you.)

For better or worse, she did love him, he did make her happy. If she was wrong about him and he was dirty, she knew it would destroy her.
(The truth is always better than the wish.
You're my home, too.)

(I am glad I'm not a disappointment. That is my greatest fear.)

(You've never disappointed me. You've never left me wanting, in or out of bed.)

He gave his head a slight shake, then smiled up at her. "أريد أن جعل الحب لك الآن، لجعل جسمك الغناء. تريد أن الحب؟"
(I want to make love to you now, to make your body sing. Would you like that, love?)
